5 tours for the Easter weekend

Finally! The nice weather is coming. And we have a nice long Easter weekend ahead of us. CycloWorld browsed through the list of lists and collected 5 tours close to home. Both in the weekend and on Monday. Of course not only for the road bike!

De Isaac Alternatieve 16-4

Superb and certainly not simple sportive starting from the upper northeast of Belgium. Once created as an alternative to the Amstel Gold Race, hence the name. The course takes in known and unknown parts of the Voer region and Ardennes. Longest distance 160 km with 3000m+. A tough ride, in other words.

Paris-Roubaix Challenge 16-4

The amateur version of the pro race. Being of the 5 Monuments, this is truly one you have done at least once. Obviously you shouldn't be afraid of cobblestones. The event has been sold out already, but we still have a few tickets. Check it out.

La Coironnaise 17-4

Somewhat unknow gran fondo in the Ardeche, which can also be ridden as a sportive. You can expect a beautiful route, quiet roads and usually with very nice temperatures at this time of year. All three courses can also be ridden as a sportive (without time registration). Longest course 115 km / 2345m+. Top tip: you could combine this gran fondo with the Mont Ventoux, which has been opened last week.

De Reuzen van Vlaanderen 18-4

Great event which (as the name suggests) takes you in and around the Flemish Ardennes. In the longest distance (159 km) you get a total of 31 hills where you conquer no less than 2700m+. The rapid succession of hills will put your legs to the test. Can you digest the cobblestones of the Oude Kwaremont and ride up the Koppenberg en danseuse afterwards? Organized by Golazo, so you don't have to worry about the feed stations.

The Lakeland Loop Cycle Sportive 17-4

Challenging ride which starts from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in Great Langdale. The 110 km course takes in some of the finest views of the Lake District and some its most challenging climbs. The route includes Whinlatter Pass, the infamous Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass and if you’re hoping that the rest is flat, then you’re going to be disappointed. It’s one of the oldest events in the North West and remains a classic. A light gear is paramount!
