The result of our raffle for the GFNY Alpes Vaujany (August 30) is there. Math Simons (Netherlands) and Daniel Rosinsky (Slowakije) are the lucky ones. They have been informed personally. Both get a free ticket for the gran fondo, as well as a large discount on a hotel room in La Douce Montagne, Allemond.
GFNY is one the largest organisers of gran fondo's in the world. The Gran Fondo New York marked the start of this company in 2011. Subsequently the company became one of the major players in the business. In their events, contenders wear their distinctive lime jersey. At this moment, the GFNY World Tour consists of 20 gran fondo's from all over the world.
It's the first time the GFNY Alpes Vaujany is held. The route has three climbs: the Croix de Fèr, the Glandon and the final climb towards Vaujany. The gran fondo could easily be combined with the Marmotte Alpes, which is held in the first weekend of September. We wrote about that earlier.
