France's most challenging climb

The car-free Col de la Loze, opened in 2019, is a formidable climb connecting the valleys of Courchevel and Méribel. Known for its challenging and uneven terrain with gradients up to 20%, this climb is a true test of endurance. Opting for the longest distance in the gran fondo means tackling the Col de la Loze twice. The Col de la Loze has been a significant site in Tour de France history, notably where Pogacar's quest for yellow ended in the 2023 Tour.
