CycloWorld is taking the next step. As of immediately, you will also find MTB marathons and stage races in our calendar. The start of a new chapter.
For years, our visitors have been asking us to start including MTB events. For a long time we could not give this priority, because all our time was spent on the new website. But in this case delay does not mean cancellation. Now that the site is up and running it is time to get serious about MTB.
Rome was not built in a day. There are thousands of MTB rides in the world and we simply can't include them all at once. In addition, the MTB world is also suffering greatly from the coronavirus. We are starting small. In principle, we will only include marathons and stage races that will take place in the Benelux countries, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Portugal or Spain after June 1, 2021.
In order to get this right, we have recruited three new MTB editors (all of course avid mountain bikers) in recent weeks. Behind the scenes we have worked hard to create a nice base. Are you still missing an event? Feel free to let us know!
Our list of cycling events currently includes nearly 3,000 events. This means that the loading speed was compromised. For that reason we are going to break down the calendar by race, gravel and MTB using a submenu. In this way the site will remain user-friendly, fast and clear. If you are already in the calendar you can of course also just change the bike type in the search filter.
It obviously does not stop here. As soon as we have a good overview of the marathons we will gradually expand the MTB calendar.
