The Austrian UCI qualifier Neusiedlersee Radmarathon (NRM) is fast becoming a true classic in the gran fondo world. This is not just because of its UCI status. We are giving away free tickets for this event. Subscribe quickly!
The NRM is (together with 3RIDES) the only UCI qualifier in German-speaking Europe and has two parts: a gran fondo on Sunday and an optional time trial on Saturday. The event is held in the Austrian state of Burgenland, located in the far east, near the Hungarian border. The gran fondo route even runs partly through Hungary. On paper, the 125 km course with 600 meters of elevation seems manageable. But don’t be fooled—due to the very high average speeds, this race has proven to be quite a challenge.
