Today, February 1st, marks the start of the pre-registration for the on the most famous gran fondo's in Europe: the Ötztaler Radmarathon. Cyclocalender has all the info.
First, you will have to sign up for the draw on the official website. This will set you back a couple of euro's. Signing up is possible throughout February; the results will be communicated at the beginning of March. If you are one of the lucky ones, don't forget to complete your registration, otherwise your spot will be given away to someone else.
There are two alternatives. The easiest and best option is to book an all-in-one package with our sponsor Enroute. If you do so, you don't have to pre-register, Enroute takes care of everything. Don't wait too long: first come, first serve!
There is another way. Make sure 1, 2 or 3 friends sign up for the pre-registration. It's important these are real people, at least 18 years of age. You'll have to pre-register yourself as well - this is important! If you are rejected, but one of your friends isn't, you can transfer the ticket to your name for around 50 euro's. For more information, check the organizer's website. Needless to say our Austrian friends made up a pretty smart business model.... Use it to your "advantage", or don't ;)
