We've had to wait a long time for it, but this year it's here. La Vuelta is finally coming to the Netherlands. It promises to be a great spectacle. A week before the start of the grand tour, you can get on your bike and check out the pros' route. The official race starts on 19-8 and ends on 11-9 in Madrid.
On Saturday, August 13, the Sportive La Vuelta Holanda will start from Breda in the south. The route largely follows the route of the third stage of the Vuelta. Riders can choose between three distances: 85, 115 and 165 kilometers.
On Sunday, August 14, another sportive will depart from Utrecht, from where the first two stages of the Vuelta will be ridden. The Giro and the Tour have visited this city in the past. This makes Utrecht the first city where all three grand tours have been. Again, there is a choice of the same three distances. What is different, however, is that the event that work with a mass start (in time slots). The first 20 km will be ridden in a peloton.
