The Col du Sanetsch is a must-do. Easily accessible by bike from Crans-Montana via a short descent. The climb is long, with minimal car traffic. The landscape becomes more rugged, and the views more stunning. After the col, there's a short descent to the lake, where you'll find a restaurant.
Pro tip: Take the cable car down to Gsteig and ride a loop via the Col du Pillon and Col de la Croix. In Sierre, you can choose between the final climb to Crans-Montana or the funicular.
360° views, south-facing, vineyards, forests, 9 lakes, 4 waterfalls, pastures and a glacier. This is the varied scenery that provides a perfect playground for mountain bikers.
The vast domain includes 77km of enduro and cross-country tracks for all levels (all certified and signposted). 11 routes, with a total vertical height drop of 2,350m. 3 downhill routes: a red, a black and a blue track for beginners or to do with kids.
But hey! Do I need to climb every day from the valley to the town at 1500m? No problem, the brand new furnicular brings you in a couple of minutes from Sierre to Crans Montana. And vice versa.
From 6:00 am to 10:30 pm, a ride departs every 20 minutes. Passengers with bikes are welcome. No reservations are needed: just grab your ticket and hop on.
In Valais, there are countless climbs and trails worth exploring. By train from Sierre, you can reach Martigny or Brig in just half an hour, offering endless cycling opportunities.

The huge diversity of natural scenery in the Crans-Montana region makes it a key destination for walking. From picturesque vineyards to green prairies irrigated by the ‘bisses’ (irrigation streams), forests and clear mountain lakes, the eternal snow of the glacier, passing by historic villages and mountain chalets, all that is left to do is to choose your route!
The parks’ new layout, endorsed by Nicolas Vuignier, freestyle professional and ambassador for Crans-Montana, forms part of a project devoted to riders which invites them not only to go out and have fun in the wakepark, bikepark and snowpark, but also to share their photos, videos and experiences on a new website.

Thanks to its topography, from the Rhone Valley at an altitude of 500m up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3,000m, Crans-Montana is an ideal playground for trail running. 15 routes have been specifically planned and signposted for mountain trail running.
In total 200 km of routes have been mapped out, with a total of 15,800 m of elevation gain. Routes range from 2 km to 55 km and elevation gain from 300m to 4,200m.
