The most beautiful gran fondo of the Vosges is back with a beautiful new course and a new start location: Kruth.
The ideal gran fondo: centrally located and certainly just as challenging as the big gran fondos in the Alps.
Reasonably priced, beautiful routes, short travel distance, excellent organization: what's not to like?
The longest distance has no less than 195 km and 4850m+ - a gran fondo for good reason! As many as three times you'll ride to Le Markstein. You will also climb the Platzerwasel, Petit Ballon and the famous Route des Crêtes, among others.
The medio fondo is also not easy with 146 km and 3800 meters of climbing. Finally, there are two shorter distances of 118 km / 2750m+ and 70 and 1700m+.
The Vosges Mountains are included in the Tour almost every year for a reason. In 2023, the riders will ride 133 kilometers through the Vosges Mountains in the final mountain stage of the Tour de France. The finish is at ski station Le Markstein - a climb also included in the gran fondo l'Alsacienne.
In addition to fantastic climbs, the Vosges Mountains are the perfect destination for a wonderful vacation, with or without family. But one thing is for sure, the bike should come along!
