In 2022, the BIKE Transalp will start in East Tyrol for the first time and will spend a whole day between Lienz and Sillian. Downhill fans can look forward to the new downhill classics in the form of the Peter Sagan Trail and the Alban Lakata Trail. A little later, panorama connoisseurs get their money's worth on the high-altitude terrain between the Fronstadlalm and the Tessenberger Alm - here an unobstructed view of the Gailtal and Pustertal Valleys, the Dolomites of Lienz and Sesto reveals itself.
The 24th BIKE Transalp is not only a new edition, it's all new again. Especially in its mix, totally different from the other 23 before it. The result is a route unprecedented in Transalp history. Many things are new and unpredictable - and no stage is like the others, they don't even look alike. Is it a Transalp over beautiful panoramic trails for mile-eaters and climbers? Yes, but not always! It's all very irregularly distributed. That makes it as exciting as a BIKE Transalp should be.
