The Marmotte Granfondo Valais is a distinctive component of the Tour des Stations cycling event. Unlike other events that commonly use terms like "gran fondo" and "medio fondo" for their various routes, this 133 km / 4700m+ route boasts its unique identity as the Marmotte Granfondo Valais. This epic route proudly carries the Marmotte name and shares the essential elements with its renowned counterpart in the French Alps: a scenic course and a summit finish. In essence, it embodies the true spirit of a Marmotte!
In just a few years, the Tour des Stations has become one of Europe's top granfondos. With four different routes:
Ultrafondo The Everest: 242 km/8848 m+, Superfondo: 185 km/6800 m+, Marmotte Granfondo Valais: 133 km/4700 m+, Mediofondo: 74 km/2900 m+.
All routes start in Le Châble and the finish line is on the mythical Col de la Croix-de-Cœur (2,174 m).
