Over the last few years, Bormio has evolved into one of the leading destinations for road cycling fans in the Alps and it is now home to several great events such as the Giro d'Italia in May 2017. La Genzianella is Bike hotel since 2005 and has developed special services for cyclists such as safe deposit and accompanied bike tours together with Stelvio Experience company.
We offer a wellness area with two saunas: an inner classic finnish sauna open on daily basis; and an outdoor Kelo sauna (open upon reservation with two hours of advance). The Kelo sauna, arrived directly from Lapland, stands for traditional Finnish relaxation and is made out of Kelo pine tree wood, as pecial tree extremely resistant to weather conditions, which doesn’t make it necessary to additionally dam it or treat it with preservatives. Taking a sauna in a Kelo sauna is pure nature.
