August is traditionally quieter when it comes to cycling events. But slowly everyone comes back from vacation and perhaps it starts to itch again. CycloWorld selected 14 events that you could consider. And we also give away tickets for several events!

EPIC300 (21-8)

Extreme Belgian sportive. Longest course 300 km and 3250m+. Also a shorter 200 km course. Many slopes made famous by the Tour of Flanders. 

La Chouffe Classic (21-8)

Tough ride through unknown parts of the Belgian Ardennes. Nice beer tasting just before the finish. 

Les Ballons Vogiens (29-8)

Beautiful, relatively small gran fondo in the Vosges mountains. Including the Col de la Schlucht and the Grand Ballon. Longest course 163 km / 3900m+.

GFNY Alpes Vaujany Croix de Fer (29-8)

Awesome gran fondo from Vaujany. With the Glandon, Croix de Fer and the tough climb back to Vaujany.

La Charly Gaul (4-9 - 5-9)

Normally a gran fondo in Luxemburg, but this year the program has been changed due to corona. Races for licensed riders and a sportive. Still a great multi-day event. 

La Marmotte (4-9)

The mother of all gran fondos has not yet happened this year. Tickets are still available. This year, with an ultra fondo. 

Gran Fondo Rotterdam (5-9)

Close to home, at least, if you live in The Netherlands or Belgium. It's really not a gran fondo, but rather a sportive. Don't expect any elevation, but Dutch landscapes are guaranteed.

Gran Fondo Milano-Sanremo (12-9)

You have the chance to ride the same route as the pro's. That's just awesome.

Grejsdalsløbet (19-9)

Denmark's hardest gran fondo: 210 km / 2500m+, including a few steep slopes. Something else. 

UCI Gran Fondo Switzerland (19-9)

Qualification for the WC Gran Fondo. Includes a time trail 2 days before the race.

Riderman (17-9 - 19-9)

German stage race, really something for fast riders.

Imster Radmarathon (26-9)

Serious Austrian gran fondo, which should have happened early in the season. 110 km / 2300m+.

Sparkassen Münsterland Giro (3-10)

Just like the Riderman, it's really something for the fast riders. Top notch gran fondo.

Il Lombardia (10-10)

Just like the pro's. Includes the Muro di Somano en Madonna di Ghisallo.
