Although the autumn is in full swing, the weather is still quite good in large parts of Europe. And because of the corona pandemic, the calendar is still full. We've collected 5 awesome events you could ride next weekend.
3-day gravel festival in the Flemish Ardennes. The sportive is on Saturday; it's possible to buy a separate ticket. Courses: 80, 100 and 120 km. The main ingredients: various road surfaces, a nutritious lunch half way and a few climbs you may know from the Tour of Flanders, like the Oude Kwaremont and the Koppenberg.
Serious MTB marathon from Riva del Garda, Italy. All routes run north of the Garda Lake. The longest course has 82 km and more than 3400M+ ! Shorter options available as well. Several other activities are organized around the marathon.
Small scale Italian gran fondo from Alassio, a town that lies in between Nice and Genua. The longest route has 106 km with 2137M+, but there's also a medio fondo with 65 km / 1344M+. Organized by GS Alpi, a well-know Italian organizer you might know from the GF Gavia e Mortirolo.
A true German "Jedermanrennen" - the German word for gran fondo. The two courses (66 and 107 km) are relatively flat and are largely on the peninsula of Rügen. Not for climbers!
A true gravel sportive. Three new routes of 85, 100 and 128 kilometres. From the seaside town of Cervia to the inland hills, encountering unexplored villages and tracks, with 60 km of white salt roads through the true heart of the Romagna Region. Also possible on other bikes, even a road bike.
