The biggest MTB festival in Belgium, with Houffalize as its starting point. The highlight is of course the marathon on the Saturday. The longest distance is 110 km with 3461m+, but fortunately there are also milder courses. Besides the marathon there are several other activities.
Tough and beautiful sportive starting from Awyaille, close to the famous slope of La Redoute. The course is based on Phil's favorite climbs in the Ardennes. Among others La Redoute, the Wall of Huy and the beautiful La Vecquée. So you can count on coming home tired but satisfied. This gra nfondo, as is often the case in Germany, is linked to a pro race. Ride yourself in the morning and enjoy the WorldTour race Eschborn-Frankfurt in the afternoon. The course is anything but flat, there is a lot of climbing to do. The first 25 kilometers are to warm up, but then it goes uphill for 20 kilometers to the Feldberg. A new event on the border of Provence, Ardèche and Languedoc. There are two routes: 155km/2300m+ and 75km/1100m+. In both distances, the notorious Mont Bouquet will be climbed.
Tough, small-scale sportive starting from Ochtendung, not very far from Koblenz. This event is organized by the local cycling club. It's part of the Radmarathoncup series. Although there are no high mountains in the area, it's anything but flat. The longest course is 218km/2600m+, but there are many shorter options available as well.
