A goal early in the season: vital for staying motivated this winter! For those who want to enjoy some awesome mountain biking under the Portuguese sun in early spring, the Algarve Bike Challenge is a very good option. But don't hesitate too long because there are only a few spots left!

Need to know about the Algarve Bike Challenge

• Date: March 10 to 12, 2023.
• Location: Tavira. A historic town in Algarve, just half an hour from Faro airport.
• Number of stages: one evening prologue + two 70-85 km stages with 1500-2000m+ each.
• Type of event: stage race. Note: only for teams (multiple categories).
• Bike type: MTB, a fully is strongly recommended.
• Number of participants: 1200.

What to expect?

First and foremost, a very beautiful course through the Serra do Caldeirão mountains of southern Portugal. Steep climbs, technical trails and less technical sections: everything's there. Along the way you will be treated to the most beautiful views of the Algarve and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean. The evening prologue to the historic town of Tavira is one you won't easily forget.
