Last week the UCI announced the programme for the races that are part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. In these gran fondos, you can qualify for the official World Championships for non-pros, the World Cup Gran Fondo. In 2023, that will take place in Glasgow, Scotland. In addition to a road race, a time trial will also be held there.

Of the 27 races in the World Series, 17 also host a separate time trial. The course of action is exactly the same as the procedure in road races. If you ride in the top 20% in your age category, you get to go to Glasgow to try to become world amateur time trial champion. But there is also something special: do you qualify for a road race where no time trial is organized, such as the GF Schleck. Then you are also qualified for the time trial at the World Championships. We list all the time trials for you.
