To download the GPX of someone else's Strava activity, you need Premium. However, via a diversion it is also possible for free. We explain how.

What do you need?

• a computer or laptop
• Google Chrome
• The Strava GPX downloader extension (alternative: Strava Export GPX)

How does it work?

• Install the extension
• Browse to the activity on the computer (so not on your phone). Needless to say, you must have access to the ride.
• Click on GPX button which can be found on the map (see image below)
• Ready!

Smartphone

Still want to use your phone? If you use Android, you can try this app. For iPhone there is currently no alternative.
