66 Degrés Sud is a relatively new gran fondo and time trial in the south of France. It is one of only two French events that are part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. If you end up in the top 25% in your age category, you qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Glasgow later this year. We are giving away free tickets for 66 Degrés Sud! 

Need to know

• Date: gran fondo on April 29, time trial on April 27.
• Distance gran fondo: 164 km/1767m+
• Distance medio fondo 135 km/1322m+.
• Distance time trial: 12.5 km/575m+.
• Limited to 1000 riders.
• Start and finish: Sainte-Marie-la-Mer (road race) and Collioure (time trial)

Why you want to ride this event

• The perfect opportunity to qualify nice and early in the season.
• Temperatures of around 20 degrees.
• Bank holiday in many parts of Europe.
• Very good to combine with a (family) vacation.
• Beautiful course between the snowy peaks of the Pyrenees & the Mediterranean Sea
• Great alternative to the sold-out Schleck Gran fondo.
  
• Serious climbing, but not too extreme.
• Both road race and (optional) time trial, with a day's rest in between.
• On April 29, there's also a sportive (50km / 93m+ and 100 km/590m+) which will start shortly after the race.
