Short news: BIKE Transalp, Gravel One Fifty and cancellations
As always, we'll be updating you with the latest news from the world of gran fondos, sportives, stage races and much more.
The pre-registration for Limburgs Mooiste closes on May 1. After May 1st you can still register for the day price (€40 instead of €35). Limited offer.
The organization of BIKE Transalp, a multi-day stage race for the MTB, comes up with something new. For those who don't want to do the complete tour, there are Explorer Days. You then ride only the first two stages. More info on the official website.
Registration for Holland's only gravel gran fondo (Gravel One Fifty on September 17) opens on May 10 via the official website, which is currently renewed.
There are still a few spots left for the charity ride Giro di Kika. This charity event takes place between June 19 and 24 in Italy. The route includes the Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella and the uncrowned king of Italian Alps: the Stelvio.
CycloWorld has found two new administrators for the Spain and Portugal region (including South and Central America). The cycling couple Pieter Frolichs and Nicolien Luijsterburg will join our team in the near future. Their names might sound familiar to you, as both ride remarkable results in gran fondos. For example, Pieter became 4th in the Mallorca 312 last year, while Nicolien became 2nd in the ladies event.

Also the Swiss GF La Cyclosportive des Vins du Valais (formerly La Alex Moos) is calling it quits for good. In a statement (French), the organization cites the loss of a sponsor as the reason, in addition to increasing competition in the region.
We'll stay with the cancellations for a while. Also L'Étape Switzerland will not take place this year. The organization reports that they were not able to make things happen.
A nice celebration for our partner Climbfinder. As of last week, you can find no less than 20,000 climbs on the site. A nice milestone.
That clothing brands collaborate with events is nothing new. What is special is that the Dutch webshop Futurumshop joins forces with the Danish tour Grejsdalsløbet. Participants can order, among other things, clothes from Futurum's own brand Speed on Wheels, which was developed in collaboration with Niki Terpstra.
