Nova Eroica Switzerland *GIVE AWAY*

Update

Previously, CycloWorld wrote the article below about the Nova Eroica Switzerland. We're currently also raffling off free tickets for the event. All you have to do is to like this post on Instagram and tell in the comments why you deserve a free ticket. Do this before March 14, because on that day we will announce the winner.

In 2021, the first edition of the Nova Eroica Switzerland was organized. The event will return in 2022. The program for the 2022 edition has some interesting changes.

Success

The organization looks back on the 1st edition in 2021 with a positive feeling. A total of 450 riders from 16 different countries were at the start. Nicola Rosin, President of L'Eroica: "We are convinced that we have chosen the right partner for the development of our brand in Switzerland. Despite complicated sanitary conditions, the first edition was a success and allowed our community to discover a region with exceptional landscapes and cultural and gastronomic heritage."

Retro events?

You might know Nova Eroica from the well-know retro tour l'Eroica. It's good to know that under this label however, non-retro events are also organized. Nova Eroica Switzerland is one example. You can participate with your modern gravel bike or MTB. If you prefer a retro CX or even MTB, you can do that too!

Programme 2022

For 2022, the event has been moved from September to June 17-19, 2022.

On Friday 17 and Saturday 18 there will be an extensive musical program in the evening in the center of Sion. In addition, on Saturday 18 the gravel bikers will ride. They will have a choice of two routes, which will be remembered from the 2021 edition.

  • Via Alpina, 113 km/2400m+, 75 km gravel, 38 km asphalt, 5 timed segments
  • Via Rodano, 77 km/1000m+, 29 km gravel, 48 km asphalt, 3 timed segments.

In both routes you will discover the banks of the Rhone up to Sierre. You'll be introduced to the breathtaking vineyard landscapes of Noble Contrée and Salquenen, as well as the spectacular mountain ranges of Leukerbad and the forest of Finges.

Sportive for families

On Sunday, June 19,it is the families' turn. They too have a choice of two routes: Via Gusto lungo (49km with 270m+) and Via Gusto corto (24km with 100m+). You can participate with any bike, as long as it is not electric. These are non-competitive events without time measurement. Just a nice stroll with the family. Along the way there are no less than 5 stops where you can spoil yourself.
