ŠKODA Velotour

The Skoda Velotour is a typical German gran fondo, or Jedermanrennen as the Germans call it themselves. This gran fondo is, as often in Germany, linked to a professional race. Ride the Skoda Velotour in the morning and enjoy the WorldTour race Eschborn-Frankfurt in the afternoon. The Velotour is a big name in Germany. In the COVID year 2021 there were still over 3000 people at the start and in 2019 even 5500.

The course is anything but flat, there is a lot of climbing to do. The first 25 kilometers are to warm up, but then it goes up to the Feldberg for 20 kilometers. The highest point of the Taunus Mountains. Of this climb, more than 10 kilometers are clocked for the mountain prize.

For all distances, almost everyone is back by early afternoon. There's plenty of time left to see the pros.

• Courses:
• ŠKODA Velotour Classic: 100km/1700m+
• ŠKODA Velotour Express: 88km/1450m+
• ŠKODA Velotour Skyline: 40km/350m+
• Course: completely car-free.
• Type of event: gran fondo, so with time registration (and a climbers classification).
• Starting times: between 8:45 and 9:45 uur.
