Ivar Slik wins an Unbound Gravel overshadowed by a murder case. In the sprint, after 320 km of racing, he was just a bit faster than Keegan Swenson (USA) and defending champion Ian Boswell (USA). Laurens ten Dam fell behind after a long solo but was able to join the leading group. In the sprint however, he was not able to get away, finishing 4th.
Slik couldn't believe his luck after the finish
"This was my goal this year. I'm so incredibly happy to win the biggest gravel event in the world."
In the women's race, there was an all-American podium. Sofia Gomez Villafane walked away with the win. Lauren De Crescenzo was 2nd and Emily Newsom third.
